Strip graphic for Sports Pathways

The Sports Pathways programme, funded by Advantage West Midlands, is a portfolio of projects designed to tackle economic and social exclusion in the Arc of Opportunity Regeneration Zone (South Black Country West Birmingham), through the provision of progression routes to employment and training through sport and leisure. 

A 5-year programme led by Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council delivered in partnership with Birmingham City Council, Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council, Black Country Connexions Service, Pertemps Employment Alliance, Sports Structures Limited, West Bromwich Albion Community Programme and Wood Green High College of Sport.

These projects include:

  • Sandwell Coach Development Scheme/ Birmingham Inner City Coaching Scheme
  • Coaching Communities Programme
  • Dance Mentor
  • Transitions through Sport
